Description
A Shekel of Tyre, tetradrachm silver coin circa 1258 BC, Legal tender in the temple Matthew 26;15 on the reverse, an eagle standing on a galley of palm branch in the background with various inscriptions in the field, the coin is set in a 14kt yellow gold mounting that was cast from a lost wax carving with (18) round brilliant cut diamond .75ctw that are G in color and VS in clarity. These coins were believed to be the type of coin given when Judas betrayed Jesus for “Thirty Pieces of Silver “
